Dr Ayda (pronounced Yda) brings over 14 years of medical experience in General Practice, Indigenous Health, Women’s Health, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Prior to moving to Australia, she practised as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and has since worked across rural, regional, and private healthcare settings, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

As a permanent GP at WWMC, Dr Ayda is committed to building long-term relationships with her patients and providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Her areas of interest include women’s health, pregnancy care, contraception, children’s health, mental health, chronic disease management, minor skin procedures, and preventative health.

Rumaisa works in both public and private practice, managing inpatients in General Medicine , Complex Diabetes and Endocrine cases at Albury Wodonga Health, alongside private consulting rooms.

Her private clinics encompass a broad range of general endocrine and diabetes conditions.

Her public appointment includes once weekly Rapid Access Medical Clinics on Thursday and once in 3 weeks multidisciplinary high risk foot clinic at the hospital. She holds a conjoint lecturer position at UNSW Rural Campus, Albury NSW and is involved in quality improvement projects and research activities.

Rumaisa values the diversity that endocrinology and diabetes offers – from complex inpatient endocrine and diabetes consults, outpatient complex diabetes, managing adrenal, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, osteoporosis, hypogonadism, PCOS, type 1 diabetes, metabolic bone disorders, hepatogenous diabetes, endocrine oncology/ immunotherapy induced endocrinopathies, pre-conception care involving endocrine and diabetes cases. She appreciates the balance of working across the public and private sector provides.

Outside of medicine, she treasures time with her family and doing art work.
